What is a one-piece-flow parts washer?

A machine that washes and dries each part individually, at the pace of the line, instead of accumulating batches in baskets. Work in progress disappears and any deviation is detected immediately.

Can the MecanoFAST be integrated into a robot cell?

Yes. More than half of the MecanoFAST machines installed are loaded by robots. The machine communicates via Profinet with a PN/PN coupler and can be fitted with a 2- to 5-position rotary table for loading and unloading in hidden time.

What cleanliness level can it reach?

Cleanliness is validated to ISO 16232 and VDA 19 or to the customer specification, with degreasing up to 38 dynes/cm surface tension. For example, on steering housings: 1 mg max per part and 0 particles larger than 600 µm, with perfect drying.

For parts produced one by one on a line, the MecanoFAST takes less than 2 m², uses about half the energy and a quarter of the water of a tunnel, and creates no work in progress. Dedicated tooling cleans critical areas such as blind holes and threads.
